Synlighet is an independent Nordic digital marketing agency founded in 2003. Around 70 specialised consultants work out of offices in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Malmo, helping clients grow and stay competitive over the long term.
The challenge
Google Search Console holds the data an agency needs to prove SEO works. Getting it out in a shape a client can act on is the hard part.
Synlighet pulled GSC exports into spreadsheets and combined them with GA4 by hand. It worked, but it was slow, it ran into the usual Search Console data caps, and it could not show how one part of a site performed against another.
Clients kept asking how their own department or product area was doing, and every answer took hours to assemble.
The solution
The team went looking for something that did the segmenting and blending out of the box.
Sitechecker stood out because it segments Search Console data by section of a site, removes the usual export limits, and joins GSC with GA4 so organic traffic can be followed all the way to a conversion.
AI visibility tracking was a great bonus. More of Synlighet clients wanted to know how they show up in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
Having that in the same place as the search data meant it could boost the strategy without a need to purchase a separate tool.
It also gives us a clear way to track and present AI visibility across tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and importantly a way to connect organic traffic from GSC to actual conversions using GA4 data.
The results
Reporting is quicker to produce and the conversation with clients has changed.
Instead of rankings and clicks in isolation, Synlighet shows which parts of a site bring business results and which ones need attention.
That makes our SEO work easier to prove, easier to prioritize, and far more relevant to the client bottom line.
Search Console data, split by section
Segments let Synlighet report on a single department, product area or content rather than the whole domain.
Client teams see their own numbers, and the agency can point to exactly where to work next.
Organic traffic connected to conversions
Blending GSC with GA4 closes the gap between a click and a result.
Clients appreciate seeing traffic and conversions in the same view instead of two separate reports.
AI visibility in the standard report
Tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity now runs alongside search data, so AI visibility is part of the strategy rather than an afterthought.
Gaute tip for other agencies weighing up a new SEO tool:
Add AI visibility tracking on top, and you get the full picture of how search drives results in one place. It has saved us a lot of time and made our client reporting far more convincing.
